Wordmark
Set in Newsreader italic 600. Always with the leading The, never broken or hyphenated. Deep is set in editorial red — it carries the brand's promise of depth, primary research, and the opposite of the algorithmic feed.

Mark
The mark is three horizontal lines of descending length — the feed, read top to bottom — closed by a single editorial-red dot in the lower right. The dot is the point of signal: one byline, one piece worth surfacing. It sits inside a charcoal rounded square as the app icon, and stands free as a monochrome glyph where the container would compete with the surface.

Favicon
The favicon is the mark inside its charcoal rounded square — the same icon used on home screens and avatars, scaled for the browser tab. The red dot stays legible down to 16px, so the tab and the masthead are unmistakably the same publication.

Color
The palette is intentionally narrow. Cream paper, charcoal ink, and one editorial red. Editorial red appears in the wordmark Deep, hovered links, the TLDR rule, and one accent block per surface. It never appears twice in the same composition.

Social cards
The site ships a default share card for the homepage. Per-post cards are generated dynamically from each piece's banner.
Voice
Declarative cadence. Short sentence + short sentence + a longer one that names the question. No marketing copy. No hedge words. Reference brands: The Atlantic, MIT Technology Review, Bloomberg Businessweek, Stratechery.
The OpenAI release ships today. The benchmarks are public. Whether the moat holds is a different question.
Eight platform changes in one morning. The Pro model didn't ship. The asterisk owns the conversation until June.
